SCIFI is an active professional organization of insurance fraud investigators, law enforcement, fire service and other allied personnel who share a common goal: combating insurance fraud. Our organizational objectives are to promote cooperation among the various entities associated with fighting insurance fraud, providing industry leading education and training, developing greater public awareness of insurance fraud related problems, encouraging high professional standards of conduct among the various involved entities, and supporting legislation that supports or augments efforts to deter insurance related crimes.

President’s Message

I would like to thank all the members, vendors and sponsors who have devoted so much time and energy into this association to truly grow SCIFI into what it is today. We are the preeminent insurance fraud organization in the state of South Carolina. This is accomplished only through the tireless efforts of our membership and vendor partners. Unfortunately we live in a world where insurance fraud has become more common, it is not a victimless crime and we all feel the effects of insurance fraud through rate increases. Because of our organization we are able to come together to combat this growing epidemic, which is now the second highest white collar crime in America.

When we work together, we are able to share information and notify others of current methods, trends and patterns. By working together as SIU investigators, law enforcement and fire personnel, law firms, vendors and sponsors, we send a message that we will not stand for insurance fraud and we will not let this crime go unpunished or unprosecuted.

I want to thank our most recent President Brandon Gunter for his leadership over the last few years making SCIFI what it is today. I am also exited about our 2019 Fall Conferent at the Double Tree by Hillton in Myrlte Beach, SC in Novmeber 2019. Please check out out conference page for additional information and to register for this awesome event.

We hope to see you at each of these great training opportunities and the conference in November!

Skee McAllister, SCIFI President
